A massive European “own goal”! Expert IT Group calls for big changes in draft EU proposal

The new draft EU legislation on virtual ID Cards and government control of e-signatures for commerce is unworkable. I have been working on a short position paper with the Digital Policy Alliance (DPA) to summarise the proposals.  The DPA is a non-party aligned tech group that seeks to influence policy, and they have now published a press release and the detailed report I helped draft here.
